Antique Seth Thomas Mantel Clock

Item Details

A turn-of-the-century Empire style mantel clock by Seth Thomas. The timepiece features a straight top and a dark wood case in black with incised decoration and beveled sections; flanking the middle section are four Composite styled pillars with metal tops and bottoms and marbleized celluloid veneer bodies. The two front feet are metal with foliage scrolled ends. There are lion’s heads with rings to either side. Around the six o’clock position reads “Made by Seth Thomas Clock Co. Thomaston, Conn. U.S.A.’ The dial is presented behind a glass door.

- crack to the wood to the front center.
