A Chinese watercolor and ink scroll painting of a fisherman. This painting depicts a bearded man happily clutching at his fishing rod with one hand while a caught fish dangles from the other. The composition is rendered with gestural brush strokes reinforced by loose, pooled pigment. To the top right corner of the composition is painted calligraphic text and a red artist seal. The painting is surrounded by a dark brocade and wraps around a wooden dowel rod with hanging thread affixed to the top edge. The scroll painting comes in an ornately patterned cardboard box.

- there are a few discolored spots from foxing on the painting.
