A selection of bronze alloy, wood and bone figures and effigies of West, Central and South African, Maori, Turkish and North American origins. The selection comprises a variety of carved wood, bone and bronze alloy figurines from Igbo of Nigeria, Bamileke of Cameroon, and the Congo, as well as a replica Alaskan Inuit miniature totem, a replica Native American bird effigy carved of tephra, and a pair of Maori figures. The selection also includes a bronze alloy antelope and a seated man, a rider on horseback with a square metal stand, and a ram. The grouping is rounded out with a modernist carved figure of a warrior from the Xhosa tribe in South Africa, and a miniature Byzantine style pottery oil lamp on plinth.
