An oil painting on canvas by Michigan-based artist Jens Plum (1926 – 2002), painted in 2000. This piece depicts a still life of objects arranges on a table with red and yellow cloth draped over it. The arrangement features apples, a yellow flower in a glass fave, a purple flower laying on the table, a tea kettle, and a sculpture of a figure on a bicycle. The table is reflected in a mirror placed behind it at an angle, and the piece is signed in paint to the lower center-left as well as signed and dated ‘6/2000’ to the verso. It is presented in a wood frame with gold tone plating and wire to the verso for hanging.
Condition
- minor wear and scratches throughout the frame; minor craquelure through the painting; minor paint loss along the edges of painting.
