An original oil painting on board of a pastoral scene by an anonymous artist. The painting depicts an expansive view of the autumn wheat harvest on a small farm. Several figures are in the field in the distance, harvesting wheat by hand and stacking it in sheaves, while a horse-drawn cart already filled with harvested wheat waits in the lane nearby. The farmhouse sits amongst the trees that have just begun to change color. The work is unsigned. It is presented in an ornate wood frame with cast embellishments and a gold-tone finish. It is ready to hang with a wire.

- light accretion to painting surface. Multiple small cracks to frame. Accretion and wear to frame finish.
