A hand knotted, Persian Kazak Bakhshayesh room size rug. This wool rug features a center medallion on a lozenge-shaped field in a palette of rust, sand, pale blue, indigo, salmon, sage and cream. The field is bounded by principally salmon spandrels and surrounded by an unresolved Samovar border. The far ends have natural warp fringe, and the rug is unmarked.
