Power-Loomed Floral Wool Area Rug

A power-loomed wool area rug. The rectangular rug is worked in shades of midnight blue, camel, beige, buff, green, rose, and ivory. There is a central lozenge infilled with a floral spray superimposed upon a lattice in pink and blue on an ivory ground. It is surrounded by cartouche in camel on a deep blue field infilled with scrolling acanthus leaves and large floral arrangements in containers at the corners separated by panels of lattice design. The borders include cable patterns and stylized flowers. There is applied fringe at each end. Unmarked.
