A hand-knotted Pak-Kazak carpet runner. This wool rug is hand-knotted in a palette of burnt-salmon, beige, cream, sky blue , and black. The field is patterned with diamond shaped starburst medallions arranged vertically . Each medallion encloses a gul with out-pointing arrows amid abstract motifs. Framing the field are two borders, including an unresolved major border featuring alternating boxed florets and geometric Shirvan-style bracket motifs. Finished with overcast selvedges and fringe to either end.
