Armand Lourenco Oil Painting on Canvas of Horse Race
Item Details
An original oil painting on canvas by listed French artist Armand Lourenco (1925 – 2004). The painting depicts jockeys wearing colorful silks, racing their mounts in a horizontal band across the center of the composition. It is loosely rendered through predominantly horizontal brushstrokes creating the sense of swift movement. The work is signed in red to the lower right. It is presented in a carved wood frame with a gold-tone finish and is ready to hang with a wire.

- accretion across painting surface. Two scratched to upper center of painting. Minor wear to frame finish.
