Antique Burled Walnut Storage Bench

Item Details

An antique storage bench. This walnut piece has an elaborate pediment of scrolls curling around a center medallion topped with a shell; the design is repeated in part under the curved armrests. The back rest and front of the rectangular base are both paneled with book matched burl veneer. The seat lifts up to interior storage.
There are no visible maker’s marks, but German storage tags remain affixed in several places.
