Power-Loomed Bulgarian "Kerman" Wool Area Rug
Item Details
A power-loomed Kerman wool area rug from Home Dynamix. The rug begins with a floral center medallion grounded in ivory. The field is densely populated with stylized floral sprays, blossoming floral bouquets and floral cartouches in a palette of indigo, peach, ivory, and arctic blue. Colors are brilliant and produced by dying the sheep before the wool is cut, carded and spun on a cotton foundation. Bordering the field are more cartouches and arabesque designs along with floral meander and running water guard borders. Finishing the rug are serged edges and an applied ivory fringe to the ends. Labeled to the verso ‘Made in Bulgaria’.
