A sterling silver 1974 United Nations Peace Medal. This piece features ribbed edges with a globe to the center surrounded by a laurel leaf wreath on the obverse. It is marked at the top of the wreath with the year 1974 and reads ‘United Nations’ around the inner center in various languages, including English, French, Russian, Chinese, and Spanish. The reverse depicts the Golden Spiral symbol of peace, a dove holding an olive branch, with the word ‘Peace’ in English, French, Russian, Chinese, and Spanish.
