Group of Antique Porcelain Half Dolls and China Head Doll
Item Details
A mixed group of antique porcelain half doll forms paired with an antique china head doll. The china head doll is a pet name 16’ doll named ‘Dorothy’ circa 1899-1902 produced in Germany by Hertwig for the US distributor Butler Brothers. She has a unique molded blouse and collar with a soft textile stuffed body. Her body features an alphabet patterned cloth and she retains her porcelain feet and arms. Her dress is not original and appears a bit large for this doll. The half doll collection features some unique representations including sizes from 1’ up to 4’ all with clothed tops and arm in poses. Most are imprinted with a number others are blank.
