A hand-knotted Persian Kashan area rug. This wool carpet is hand-knotted in a palette of crimson, midnight blue, marigold, cream, emerald, sky blue, and gray. The oval shaped lozenge is patterned with a scalloped diamond shaped medallion, curvilinear vines, palmettes, and lobbed flowers. It is framed with borders of linked palmettes and carnation meanders. Finished with overcast edges and fringe to either end. Unlabeled.
