Hand-Knotted Tribal Baluch Area Rug

Item Details

A hand-knotted Baluch area rug, likely woven in Afghanistan. This wool carpet is hand-knotted in a palette of deep burgundy, indigo, mustard, red, white and black. It features a lattice pattern to field, made up of diamond shaped guls surrounded by hooked arms. It is framed with a border of geometric ‘I’ shaped forms and finished on either end with fringe. It is not marked.
