A hand-knotted Persian Qashqai accent rug.This wool carpet is hand-knotted in a palette of madder red, burgundy, burnt orange, warm brown, ivory, and indigo. It features a rhomboid shaped central medallion with crenelated edges on a field densely patterned with symbolic designs of peacocks, eight pointed stars, and scorpion motifs. The four corners of the rug feature repeated medallions. It has short fringe to either end and it is not marked.
