A circa 1920 chromolithograph on paper after an etching of Reims Cathedral by listed British artist James Alphege Brewer (c.1882 – 1938). The piece depicts the cathedral’s facade, with figures walking on the plaza to the foreground, rendered in muted hues of blue, brown, green and red against a cream ground. The unsigned print is presented under glass in a vintage carved wooden frame with gold tone embellishments.
Condition
- slight toning and discoloration to paper; minor edge wear, chips and scratching to frame; tears to frame’s backing paper; no hanging hardware.
