Item Details

An early 20th century sterling silver toast rack made in Birmingham, England by Docker & Burn Ltd, active from 1921 to 1930. It features a ring handle with several open slots for toast. There is an openwork rim to the bottom edge along with squashed round feet. To the underside, it is marked with the sterling silver lion passant, Birmingham anchor, ‘D’ for date 1928, and ‘D&B’ for Docker & Burn Ltd. The approximate weight is 3.995 ozt.
