Lee Menichetti Vintage Glass and Rhinestone Necklace

A vintage Lee Menichetti rhinestone collar necklace. The base is silver toned leather cut in a lattice design which drapes the chest. It is accented with round green and clear tear drop multi-faceted rhinestone pendants. The top of the collar is a ring detailed with round multifaceted clear rhinestones creating a dazzling aesthetic. A loop and hook fastener is attached to the back. A fabric label on the back reads, ‘Lee Menichetti’.

Lee Menichetti, a native New Yorker known as an innovator in the design of handmade jewelry, glamorous accessories and metal sculpture. He worked for Geoffrey Beane and James Galanos and his accessories were sold at high-end stores. Ultimately he started his own headed successful design company. In 1980 he came to Palm Beach where his collection of metal sculptures have exhibited at several galleries and museums around the globe.

Condition

Some of the rhinestone pendants are a bit loose, may ned to be reinforced.
