Hand Knotted Turkish Kazak Accent Rug

A hand-knotted Turkish Kazak-style area rug. This wool rug features a tribal design in an abrashed palette of cherry, cream, cerulean, sapphire, and emerald. It begins with a vertical row of three diamond medallions over a cherry field. The field is populated with a variety of symmetrically arranged hash marks, stars, hooked diamonds, and other motifs. Framing the field are three borders, grounded in sapphire, cherry, or cream; two of the borders feature diamond-cluster patterns, one features a meandering star-and-comb pattern. The rug finishing at each end with wool warp fringe. It is untagged.
