A French Provincial style balloon back captain’s chair. This chair features a curved crest rail and upholstered, oval back panel joining curved armrests flanking an upholstered seat. The chair rises on cabriole legs joined by a scalloped apron and terminating on whorl feet. There are no visible maker’s marks.
