A vintage cheese larder. This piece comprises a wooden box with mesh on the front and back and two fixed shelves on the inside. The piece is designed to keep pests away from food stored at room temperature. The box has a handle on the top for portability; there is no latch on the hinged door. It is unmarked.

Condition

- hinges and screen show rust. Cracks to wood in places. Maker’s painted label significantly worn away. Dusty.
