A still life oil painting on canvas by well-listed Hungarian artist Elemér Kézdi-Kovács (1898 – 1976). The piece depicts a table with a ewer of fresh flowers arranged next to a clarinet upon a small side table. The items are depicted alongside a music stand of Mozart sheet music, a wooden chair and an open window with lace curtains. The work is signed ‘E. K. Kezdi’ in pink paint to the lower right. It is presented without glass in a black and gold tone wooden frame fitted with hanging wire to the verso. The piece includes an envelope with provenance letter.
Condition
- to fair; minor surface wear and scattered residue to painting, with areas of media loss; edge wear and scratching to frame; no backing paper present; slight toning to image and canvas verso.
