A hand knotted Persian mir-a-boteh Sarouk wool area rug. This wool rug features a diamond-shaped center medallion on a lozenge field in a palette of scarlet, pale blue, white, gold and black, and the field is populated with pear designs. The field is bounded by patterned spandrels which match the Serabend border. The far ends have close-cropped white fringe, and the rug is tagged underneath.
