An original signed oil on canvas titled New Kid by listed Colorado artist Rita Zimmerman (20th century). The Abstract Expressionistic work depicts a newborn animal, perhaps a horse, standing on slender legs up a gradated gold to green background. Both the creature and the background are rendered in loosely brushed manner with subtle variations in color and texture. The piece is monogram-signed to the lower left corner and displayed in a narrow black-painted wooden frame. The painting is wired to the back for wall hanging.
