Item Details
An 1837 ‘Hard Times’ token, featuring Liberty Head on the obverse and a laurel wreath with ‘Millions for Defense – Not One Cent for Tribute’ to the reverse. This coin come with an 1863 Civil War token, with date and Liberty Head to the obverse and ‘Our Navy’ to the reverse. Metal Content: 95% copper 5% tin and zinc. Diameter: Hard times token – 27.87 mm; Civil War token – 18.79 mm. Weight: approx. combined – 10.60 grams.
