An original signed oil on canvas portrait for an advertisement for Burger Beer by listed New York illustrator Lawrence Wilbur (20th century). The painting is of a beautiful woman with curled strawberry blond hair, swept back from her flawless face, with arched brows, shadowed blue eyes and luscious red lips, wearing an opulent emerald necklace and low-cut matching top with white mink stole, the image set against a rich red background. The portrait is unframed, signed by the artist to the upper right corner. The published ad shows the image with ‘Tempting’ in black script to the white border at the top, ‘Burger Beer’ in bold black text, with the Burger Beer logo medallion to lower right of the image, and in red script below the Burger Beer text, ‘Distinctively Light-Distinctively Dry’.
