Item Details
An original signed oil on canvas titled India Sentada by listed Argentinian artist Juan Carlos Corvalan (20th century). The 1972 painting depicts in Modernist Cubist style a seated Native American woman. The figure is shown in a distorted manner with foreshortened arms and legs and rounded face painted in contrasting shades of black and brown. The background is gridded, in gold and brown with a green accent line. The work is presented in a gilded wood frame with inner and outer filet trim, signed by the artist to the lower left corner, with an identification tag to the verso. The painting is wired to the back for hanging.
