A vintage Federal style maple drop leaf writing desk. This desk features four straight legs and a solid maple wood body. Two drawers with small pulls on rosettes sit below a slanted lid which opens to reveal a writing surface and storage compartments for paper, pens and other writing accessories. A maker’s mark to the interior of the upper drawer states the piece was made in Rockford, IL by the Rockford Chair & Furniture Co.
