A hand-knotted Persian Isfahan area rug. This rug features a color palette of mauve, rose pink, pale yellow, cream, black, sky blue, taupe and navy. It has a central medallion made up of eight segments with a rose-window like effect. The field is densely patterned with daisy-like flowers, curling vines, and long feathered birds. It has carnation meander guard borders and the main border features vases, bouquets of flowers, songbirds,and Shah Abassi palmettes. It is finished with overcast selvedges and fringe to either end. Unlabeled.
