Pair of Empire Style Gondola Side Chairs

Item Details

A pair of mid-century French Empire style, side chairs with needlepoint seats and having gondola carved crest rails over lyre-form splats. The padded and needlepoint seats are on a deep purple ground with a design featuring a fruit motif. The chairs rise on front saber legs and slightly splayed back legs. Companion chairs listed under 18LAX017-188 and 18LAX017-191. There are no visible maker’s marks.

Condition

-Minor marks on wood on edges and legs. Needlepoint intact, no holes or snags.
