Vintage English Oak Secretary Bookcase

A vintage, English oak secretary bookcase. The piece features an arched backsplash with a pressed design over a shallow shelf and slanted top. The slanted top drops to create a writing surface equipped with an assortment of cubbies. Four stacked dovetailed drawers are set below. The top drawer has a pressed floral motif and the following three drawers are oak veneered with brass-plated pulls. The center is flanked by rectangular, bow-front cases with ribbed trim and fitted with divided glass doors each opening to three shelves. Circa 1920-30.
