A hand-knotted Persian Isfahan wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of sand, powder blue, ivory, indigo, buff, and cranberry. The sand colored field begins with a round star shaped pendant medallion, and features a Shah Abbasi pattern along with coordinating spandrels with a laleh abbasi patterned edge. Framing the field is a medallion patterned herati main border with floral meander guard borders, and barber pole minor borders. Finishing the rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp ivory fringe to the ends, as well as a label to the underside.
