1886 VII Joliet Repurposed Railroad Track Anvil With Stand

A anvil created from a repurposed section of railroad track marked Joliet 1886 VII. This section of railroad track was produced in 1886 by the Joliet Iron And Steel Company at their rolling mill in Joliet, Illinois. It has since been cut and reworked into a blacksmiths anvil. It is presented on a handmade stand constructed of wooden planks which have been cut and bolted together.

Condition

- metal of anvil is pitted and has areas of rust. Stand is wobbly, some of the hardware is loose.
