A pair of vintage handbags. The selection includes a circa 1930s/1940s vintage Whiting & Davis handbag comprised of an ivory Alumesh with an ivory Bakelite chain handle, hinge frame with kisslock closure and a black twill interior lining. Also includes a rectangular handbag comprised of black velveteen with a black twisted rope strap, beaded accents, a flap and Velcro closure with a fringe tassel accent. The handbag by Whiting & Davis includes a label on the interior with patent number ‘78.124’.
Condition
- some discoloration to the exterior of Whiting & Davis bag, mark on Bakelite frame; beading coming loose on black handbag
