A charcoal and pastel drawing on toned paper of a figure. This drawing depicts a girl swaddled in robes, who happily raises one arm to balance a large bowl on her head. The figure is loosely defined by gestural outlines, which obscure to the periphery. They are reinforced by linear applications of pigment, which pull the figure from the toned background. This unsigned drawing is presented under glass in a black wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.

Condition

- to fair; glass could be cleaned more thoroughly; worn frame finish; torn paper backing; light staining; small tear to the lower right.
