A circa 1970s artist’s proof lithograph print on paper titled French Marina by French artist Simon Chaye (b. 1930). The piece depicts a stylized view of a harbor scene, with small sailing vessels moored in reflective waters, set against a backdrop of colorful waterfront buildings. The work is rendered in shades of yellow, blue, green, black and brown. It is signed in graphite to the lower right and noted as an artist’s proof to the lower left. The print is double-matted in brown and cream and presented under glass in a black and gold tone wooden frame fitted with hanging wire to the verso.

Condition

- some toning to image and matting; glass could be cleaned more thoroughly; edge wear, nicks, scuffing and markings to frame; tears to frame’s backing paper.
