An art glass basket by Silvestri of Murano. This vessel features a brass top handle and a cylindrical body which flares towards the hexagonal base. It is decorated with a cherub motif and gilt swirls on a mottled, frosted surface. The piece is marked with a label near the base: ‘Arte Murano, Silvestri, Cristal, Italy.’
