Planographic Prints Featuring Poems

A selection of three prints that feature poems. The first, a halftone print on gold tone foil, depicts a winding path through a field and the poem To my Sweetheart by Emma E. Koehler. The second print is a rotogravure on paper that depicts an illustration of a Scottie dog after illustrator Cecil Aldin (1870-1935), signed in in plate to the lower left, with a poem about friendship from the writings of J.P. McEvoy. The final print, a hand-colored lithograph, features a poem titled Friendship Lane and an illustration of a family walking in a pastel-colored forest on their way to town. It is signed in plate to the lower right and appears to read ‘Kaiser’. All three prints are presented behind glass in frames with hanging hardware to the versos.

Condition

- water stains and discoloration to Scottie dog print; tonal variations to gold tone foil; frames have wear to edges and corners; some chips with paint loss.
