An Italian marquetry wood inlay collage of a shore scene. this work depicts a single-masted sailboat approaching a cliffside town, with various multi-story buildings jutting up against the edge. The work is composed of various pieces of stained wood assembled together. The composition is unsigned and is contained by a thick, stained border with a triangular loop to the verso for hanging. A sticker on the verso reads ‘Made in Sorrento, Gabriella’ and ‘Sorrento, Italy.’

- small crack to the upper right; minor blemishes to frame finish.
