Erté German China Sevenarts "Moonshine" Plate
Item Details
An Erté German china Sevenarts ‘Moonshine’ plate. The plate features a portrait of a woman in a flowing blue gown with silver and black after Erté (French/Russian 1892-1990). Her eyes are closed and her head is turned to the side. She stands against a midnight black sky with silver stars. The plate is bordered in a gold toned Art Deco border. Erté was known for his portraits of women in an Art Deco style, the plate was done for a series for Sevenart by Mikasa, 1988-1990.
