An Erté German china Sevenarts Ltd. ‘Yellow Turban’ plate. The plate features a painting of a woman wearing a turban with a geometric design in red and yellow, she has rosebud lips and a mole to her left cheek. The plate was made by Sevenarts for Mikasa in a series painted after Erté (French/Russian, 1892-1990) known for his portraits of Art Deco women. The plate is marked to the verso, ‘UH201 Yellow Turban Fine China West Germany 1989, Sevenarts, Ltd.’ and signed by Erté to the left.
