A power-loomed Couristan Tabriz Royal Hunting Scene Tapestry wool area rug. This Belgian made rug is from the Gem collection and is rendered in a palette of rose, gold, powder blue, ivory, and black. The rose colored field features an all-over floral pattern interspersed with animal and human figures displaying hunting scenes. Framing the field is a unique patterned border with bouquets, palmettes, and human figures, along with a pair of floral meander guard borders. Finishing the rug are serged edges and an applied ivory fringe to the ends, as well as labels to the underside.
