George III Sterling Bowl, Hanau Silver Box, Sterling Tea Caddy and Plated Decor

An assortment of sterling, Hanau 800 silver and silver plate trinket boxes and decor. This selection includes an antique sterling silver lidded tea caddy by James Dixon & Sons Ltd. This piece features Sheffield hallmarks including the date mark for 1912. Also included is a small George III sterling silver bowl with London hallmarks including the date mark for 1797 and an indiscernible maker’s mark. These pieces are accompanied by an exceptional mid-19th century Hanau 800 silver lidded repoussé box, a piece commemorating the Battle of Gallipoli of 1416, with an excellent battle scene on the lobed lid, over the scroll and floral-decorated sides with a shield-shaped cartouche at center reading ‘Victory of the Venetians over the Turks, Gallipoli, 1416.’ Also included is a small unmarked sterling silver bowl with scalloped body and two handles. These items are presented along with a silver plate flower frog by Reed & Barton, a silver plate petal dish by Reed and Barton, a silver plate lidded box, a silver plate box opening to a candleholder, napkin holder, a miniature trinket by David Anderson, small dishes and tastevins, and a pair of metal Christmas trees by Godinger Silver Art Co. The assortment also includes a pewter trinket figure.
