Antique Tintype Photographic Portraits

Item Details

A group of eleven antique tintype photographic portraits. One portrait, presented in a sleeve, depicts an older woman and is identified in ink as ‘Grandmother Sarah Miller’. Another, depicting a younger girl wearing a crown, presented in a similar sleeve is identified as ‘Aunt Sude Reed’. The remaining portraits, all without cases, depict women and children of various ages. One depicting a toddler propped up in a chair is a post-mortem photograph.

Condition

- most loose with no cases. Spotting on the back of the paper cases.
