A handwoven Turkish area kilim. Rendered in a palette of ivory, midnight blue, cherry, tangerine, burnt orange and burgundy, this wool rug begins with a hexagonal lozenge grounded in cream and filled with small tree-like motifs, elements that continue in a midnight blue outer field. Framing the field are compound borders, including a main border grounded in cherry, featuring florets in black and white. The rug finishes with double-overcast selvedges and long knotted cotton warp fringe at each end. Unlabeled.
