A vintage satsuma porcelain plate from the Gardens of the Orient series by The Hamilton Collection. This 1983 dish titled New Year’s Dawn depicts a Swinhoe’s Willow Warbler on a plum tree branch. The gilt trimmed plate is marked to the base ‘Eighth Issue in the Gardens of the Orient Satsuma Plate Collection – Plate Number 4629/5000 S’ and ‘Created by the House of Marushige in Nagoya, Japan – Exclusively for The Hamilton Collection’.
