A Chinoiserie chest having a hinged lid and case featuring a distressed, flat red ground with hand painted figures and trees. The case is finished in painted tacks and a black metal ring pull. The chest opens to a papered lined interior. There are no visible maker’s marks.

- purposefully distress, minor finish loss on edges
