Chinoiserie Trunk

A Chinoiserie trunk having a hinged, rectangular lid painted with a black ground and landscape in gold and red fixed with a brass ring to open. The lid and case are reinforced with metal strips and feature stenciled borderers. The lid opens to a green fabric covered interior. There are no visible maker’s marks.
