Item Details
An oil painting on canvas of a kite scene signed by an artist with the name A. Cours. This Impressionist style painting depicts a woman in a red dress watching as her son clutches at the string of a flying kite, which overlooks a vibrant, pastel toned field and cloudy sky. To the lower left corner of the composition is a painted artist signature. The painting is presented in a moulded wooden frame featuring a beige liner. To the verso is affixed hanging wire, a typed artist statement and personal note of provenance from the artist.
Condition
- there is a small spot of accretion to the upper left margin of painting; overall would benefit from a careful cleaning.
